École Nationale de Danse de Marseille
École Nationale Supérieure de Danse de Marseille (ENSDM) was founded in November 1992 by Roland Petit, a famous choreographer. In the presence of Jack Lang, France’s Minister of Education and Culture, Roland Petit, founder of the Ballet National de Marseille (BNM), officially announced the establishment of ENSDM.
Designed by the renowned architect Roland Simounet, ENSDM is located in Parc Henri Fabre of the beautiful 8th district of Marseille as a modern dance teaching and training base. From its inception until 2012, ENSDM was managed by successive BNM directors, including Roland Petit, Marie-Claude Pietragalla, and Frédéric Flamand.
In January 2017, it was renamed École Nationale de Danse de Marseille (ENDM). In response to the Ministry of Culture in France, ENDM is committed to delivering initial training courses, with 12 introductory and professional dance classes. Omar Taiebi continues to serve as the Artistic and Teaching Director of ENDM.
